STAR-SEED is a live cinema project that I presented on the screen at Cortina SP on September 10th and 17th, invited and curated by Rollinos, with sound design and live soundtrack by Kenya20hz
In a dystopian future where the world is dominated by capitalism and technology has reached extraordinary levels, there is an incessant pursuit of control over the dream realm, the last place yet to be reached by capital.
Researchers work tirelessly to develop ways to enter and appropriate the world of dreams.
Meanwhile, in a distant forest, a fragment of a star falls to Earth, gradually breaking apart over the course of eons and eventually transforming into a non-binary human being with crystalline skin.
This being, known as the “Crystal Being,” emerges into a gray and oppressive society, where their unique nature makes them feel alienated and weak, causing layers of gray to form over their skin.
However, they discover that they can reconnect with their true crystalline essence through journeys into the dream world, where they feel connected to other fragments of their home star.
Meanwhile, scientists and resistance researchers work tirelessly on a revolutionary machine that promises a counterattack against the control of the dream realm. This machine, known as the Architecture of the Impossible, is designed to explore the human subconscious in search of deep-rooted traumas and fears.
As the Crystal Being searches for ways to restore their original form, they discover the existence of the Architecture of the Impossible. Intrigued by the possibilities offered by this technology, they volunteer to participate in experiments that take them on an inner journey of self-discovery.
As the Crystal Being ventures deeper into their own subconscious, they find answers to their deepest questions and confront the fears and traumas developed within this homogeneous and gray world. With each journey into the dream world, aided by the Architecture of the Impossible, the gray layers covering their skin gradually disappear.
At the same time, humanity, through the Architecture of the Impossible, begins to unravel the mysteries of the dream world and explore its therapeutic and spiritual potential.
At the climax of the story, the Crystal Being, after reaching the fullness of their crystalline nature, is transported to a white space, where they encounter the operator of the dream machine.
The operator recognizes the Crystal Being’s achievement and invites them to move on to the next stage of their journey, where they merge with the crystallized infinite, symbolizing their integration with their home star and their true divine essence.
Meanwhile, humanity continues its journey of exploring the dream world, using the Architecture of the Impossible to unravel the secrets of the subconscious and find a deeper connection with its own divine nature.
